Dear Renewal Methodist Church family,

As we prepare our hearts for this week's message, I invite you to reflect on the powerful words of Jesus found in John 15:9-17. This passage, known as Jesus' Farewell Discourse, will be our theme for the upcoming Sunday, May 12 service at 2 pm. I encourage you to read and meditate on these verses as we explore the depths of Christ's love together.

In this passage, Jesus shares His final words of wisdom, love, and encouragement with His disciples before His crucifixion. He calls us to love one another as He has loved us—unconditional, sacrificial, and eternal love. Jesus reminds us that the greatest expression of love is to lay down one's life for one's friends, just as He willingly laid down His life for us on the cross.

But Jesus doesn't stop there. He also invites us into a deep and intimate friendship with Himself. As followers of Christ, we have the incredible privilege of being called friends of God. Through Jesus, we have access to the very heart and mind of the Father and are invited to share in His love, joy, and mission in the world.

As we gather for worship Sunday, may we come with hearts committed to holiness, ready to receive God's message. We will explore what it means to love one another as Christ has loved us, and how we can cultivate a closer friendship with our Savior. Whether you are a long-time member of Renewal Methodist Church or a first-time visitor, you are welcome to join us as we seek to grow in our faith and love for God and one another.

I look forward to worshiping with you and experiencing the transforming power of God's love together. May the words of Jesus in John 15:9-17 inspire and guide us as we seek to live out our faith in Him.

In Christ's love,
Pastor Adam
